PICKLEBALL IS THE FASTEST-GROWING SPORT IN THE UNITED STATES WITH PARTICIPATION HAVING GROWN AN AVERAGE OF 158.6% OVER THE LAST 3 YEARS ACCORDING TO THE SPORTS AND FITNESS INDUSTRY ASSOCIATION (SFIA).
PLAYERS AGED 55 AND UP WERE THE LARGEST AGE BRACKET OF PICKLEBALL PLAYERS IN 2021, COMPRISING 19.8% OF TOTAL PARTICIPANTS.

We are thrilled to share exciting news regarding expanding our court sports offerings here at Diamante. The Court Sports Committee, in collaboration with a dedicated Pickleball Construction Committee, has worked hard on accelerating the plan for new pickleball courts, aiming to provide enhanced facilities for our valued members.
FUNDING FOR PHASE 1 of the project will primarily come from Diamante capital funding, voluntary donations to the new 2024 capital fund, and events specifically organized to fundraise the construction. Your generous contributions and support are instrumental in bringing this vision to life, and we are immensely grateful for your continued dedication to our club.

"FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS"
1. The QR code will be the resource to provide information as it is being made available.
Every communication online or in print will have this specific "Logo" so it is easily recognized when communicating new information is available on this project.
2. We are in the process of planning several fundraising and informative events over the next three (3) months with net proceeds going solely toward the pickleball court construction (PCC) project. Some dates are TBD, so please stay tuned.
a. Hold a DMC-wide member fundraising meeting on Thursday, April 4th to discuss the project and answer questions.
b. Golf tournament to be held on Monday, May 13th. This tournament is being planned in conjunction with Jim Robinson, Special Events Board member.
c. As needed, hold smaller targeted meetings for specific financial questions with serious donors.
d. Hold non-member events to garner interest in the PCC project Phase 1 for potential new Court Sports members.
3. We have received four (4) qualified bids that are currently being vetted by the Pickleball Facility Sub-committee, Johnny Hibbs, Randy Bergfield, and Bob Hinckley, to select the most cost-efficient, high-quality turn-key construction plan.

5. On March 4th, the Board of Directors authorized the Court Sports Committee to proceed vetting contractors and to begin the preliminary work estimated at $62k:
a. Surveys
b. Soil borings and reports
c. Structural engineering
d. Excavation and fill
e. Water and electrical site work
6. Lifetime Court Sports Membership:
a. Initially, the Board has approved a max of 15 memberships available for Lifetime Court Sports Membership (non-transferable)
b. Cost is $12,500 plus tax with a non-refundable initiation fee of $330 (current rate)
c. Provides the member, spouse, and dependents under the age of 21 use of tennis, pickleball, pool, social events, and dining (all amenities but golf)
d. Conversion to a full golf membership available at any time based upon full golf dues.
e. The prorated amount is based on an 8-year maturity of unused lifetime court sports initial fee. Any balance remaining will be applied to the current golf initiation fee and/or dues.
f. All net proceeds are to be allocated for the new pickleball complex
g. All pre-sold Lifetime Court Sports memberships will be refunded, upon request, if the pickleball complex is not constructed
