Diamante Eclipse Solar Bration

”How to Safely Photograph & View the Eclipse”

On Monday, April 8, 2024, the Moon will pass between the Sun and Earth, providing a rare opportunity for those in the path of the Moon’s shadow to see a total solar eclipse, including the Sun’s outer atmosphere, or corona. Thousands of tourists are expected to visit Hot Springs Village and surrounding areas for this rare phenomenon.

Peter Trabant PH.D., a renowned photographer whose eclipse photos were featured in the February 2024 HSV Life Magazine, will share his personal experiences on how best to photograph and safely view the Eclipse of 2024. Taking stunning photos has more to do with the photographer than the camera and Peter will guide the audience in creating eclipse image memories.

Presenting, Dr. Peter Trabant along with Professor Gregory Guisbiers from the University of Arkansas Little Rock, Associate Professor of Physical Science and Astronomy who is also heading up the 2024

Eclipse viewing and festivities at UALR, will be at Diamante Members Club. This live presentation will be held on Saturday, April 6th at 2:30 pm for Diamante members and guests on how to experience a great viewing of the 2024 Eclipse.

In addition, the Diamante Members Club will be presenting its own Solar Bration at the Balboa Pavilion on Sunday, April 7th at 11:30 am. To enhance our viewing of this celestial spectacle Diamante has included knowledgeable specialists to educate and inform this unique experience.

Furthermore, NASA will be headquartered in Russellville for its 2024 Eclipse Observation which is in the direct line of the eclipse path. NASA will be providing streaming video on Monday, April 8th, during the DPOA Solar Bration. So, whether you are a curious sky-watcher or a science enthusiast, the live stream allows you to witness this celestial spectacle and learn more about our universe!
